Kamloops RCMP searching for suspect who robbed Aberdeen pizza shop

KAMLOOPS – Police in Kamloops are asking for the public's help identifying a man who allegedly robbed Papa John's Pizza in Aberdeen.

Kamloops RCMP spokesperson Cpl. Jodi Shelkie says in a release that at around 1 p.m. Saturday, March 18, a man entered Papa John's on Highway 5A and asked the clerk to make change for a $20 bill.

The employee told the suspect it wasn't store policy to make change, and the suspect showed a knife to the clerk, grabbed money from the register and left. Shelkie says the suspect ran south on foot.

The suspect is described as 35 to 40 years old, 6'3" with an average build and a beard. He was wearing a black sweater with the hood pulled over his head, a dark-coloured baseball cap and jeans.

If you have any information on the robbery or the suspect you're asked to call Kamloops RCMP at 250-828-3000 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
