Victim of Highway 1 fatality identified

KELOWNA – The identity of the man who died in a car accident near Craigellachie August 15 has been released by the B.C. Coroners Service.

Kim Alan Edwards, 57, had recently moved to Calgary from Kamloops and was the driver and sole occupant of the vehicle at the time. The accident happened in the early morning near Avoca Road when Edwards lost control, rolled and was struck by a transport truck.

Edwards was taken to Shuswap General Hospital before being moved to Royal Inland Hospital where he died the following day.

The RCMP and Coroners Service continue to investigate.
