B.C.-born Lion Nathan Rourke is on his way to the NFL
Nathan Rourke of the Vancouver Lions has signed with the Jacksonville Jaguars in the NFL.
Rourke was born in Victoria in 1998.
“Ultimately my decision came down to my commitment to the pursuit of the dream I first had as a youngster watching Brett Favre win Super Bowls on NFL Films," he announced on Twitter today, Jan. 15. "I am excited to announce that the realization of that dream starts today. After much prayer and deliberation, I will be signing with the Jacksonville Jaguars.”
The Jaguars had an impressive comeback during yesterday's NFL playoff game against the LA Chargers, winning 31-30 after being down by 27.
