HAMILTON – Ryan Winterton put up five points, leading the Hamilton Bulldogs to a 6-2 drubbing of the Niagra IceDogs in Ontario Hockey League action on Tuesday.
Winterton scored 3:05 into the game and added four assists.
Logan Morrison added two goals for the Bulldogs (17-9-4), while Jan Mysak scored and recorded two assists, and George Diaco and Mason McTavish each had a goal and a helper.
Hamilton jumped out to a 5-0 lead ahead of the second intermission before Danil Gushchin got Niagra on the board with a power-play goal early in the third period. Juan Copeland also scored for the IceDogs (9-17-1).
Matteo Drobac made 21 saves for the Bulldogs, who sit atop the OHL’s East Division.
IceDogs goalie Josh Rosenzweig stopped 23-of-29 shots in the losing effort.
