KELOWNA- Beginning Monday, June 6 until Friday, June 17, there are planned closures of Pandosy Street’s northbound lane from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. on weekdays for road resurfacing between K.L.O. Road and Royal Avenue.
During this time there will be no access to Pandosy Street from side roads within the project limits. K.L.O Road and Cadder Avenue will remain open.
Northbound commuters are encouraged to use Richter Street as an alternate route.
Southbound traffic and emergency access to the hospital will be maintained at all times.
Emergency room access off of Royal Avenue will remain unaffected by the road work.
Hospital staff and visitors can access the Rose Avenue entrance to the hospital parkade off of Abbott Street.
All northbound transit stops on Pandosy Street between K.L.O. Road and Cadder Road will be closed during the project. Southbound transit traffic will remain on regular routing, serving all stops.
Transit users are advised to access information about detours on the BC Transit Alert website.
The City of Kelowna appreciates the patience of residents, businesses and motorists during construction and asks those traveling through the area to respect traffic signage and safety personnel.
Weather dependent, the project is expected to be complete by Friday, June 17.
