ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – A national monument in north-central New Mexico is closed temporarily due to storm damage to the access road, trails and other facilities.
The Bureau of Land Management said Tuesday the Kasha-Katuwe Tent Rocks National Monument will be closed until further notice while roads are repaired and trail segments are reconstructed.
The monument is located 42 miles (68 kilometres) north of Albuquerque on the Pajarito Plateau and features cone-shaped tent rock formations produced by volcanic eruptions.
