OCALA, Fla. – Years before a man fired a shotgun in a Florida high school and injured a student, documents show the suspect in that case had threatened to open fire at his middle school.
The suspect, 19-year-old Sky Bouche, was arrested April 20 after the shooting at Forest High School in Ocala.
The Ocala Star-Banner reports an October 2013 police report shows that Bouche posted the shooting threats in the comment section under a YouTube video about the 1999 school shooting in Columbine, Colorado. The 2013 report states that Bouche’s written comment said he was “thinking about doing my school the same way, I have enough guns and ammo.”
Bouche was interviewed then by law enforcement referred for a mental health assessment. A gun check of his home found only replicas.
