DOYLESTOWN, Pa. – A Romanian couple who preyed upon drug addicts and non-English-speaking women who were forced to work in their Pennsylvania prostitution business will spend at least three years in prison and face possible deportation.
The (Doylestown) Intelligencer (http://bit.ly/2bTbKiN ) reports 56-year-old Vladimir Rytsar and his 53-year-old wife, Galina, were sentenced to three to 10 years in prison by a Bucks County judge on Wednesday.
The couple pleaded guilty to human trafficking and prostitution charges in February stemming from massage parlours they operated in Morrisville and Warminster.
Gallina Rytsar told the judge the couple was trying to raise money to care for various family members.
But Deputy District Attorney Jennifer Schorn says the couple immediately recruited new women after they were arrested, calling them “manipulative” people who “think they are beyond reproach.”
