LANGLEY – The West Kelowna Warriors were unable to complete a road trip sweep as they fell 4-2 to the Langley Rivermen on Saturday night, Nov. 28, at the Langley Events Centre.
The Rivermen opened the scoring just 2:01 into the game, as Torrin White scored on a scramble in front.
Later in the frame, Max Kaufman was robbed on a penalty shot by Keelan Williams, after Rylan Yaremko took Kaufman down on a break.
The Warriors tied the game early in the second period when Garrett Forster one-timed a goal past Bo Didur, who was strong all night for the Rivermen.
Langley took the lead for good at 3:56 when Cameron Ginnetti scored after the Warriors couldn't clear the puck.
The back-breaker for West Kelowna came with 22.5 seconds left in the second period as Adam Sinclair's shot eluded Williams pad.
The Rivermen took a 4-1 lead at 3:55 of the third, as Dominic Franco made a nice move in tight.
Liam Blackburn scored in the final minute to make it 4-2.
The West Kelowna Warriors will take on the Trail Smoke Eaters on Tuesday night at Royal Lepage Place, where one fan will take home a 32" Flat Screen TV and tickets are only $5.
