3 children die, 2 people hurt in St. Louis traffic accident

ST. LOUIS – The Missouri State Highway Patrol says three children died and two other people were injured in a one-car wreck on Interstate 70 in St. Louis.

The accident happened Thursday night on the Stan Musial Veterans Memorial Bridge. The patrol says the 23-year-old Eric Williams was driving east on an interstate exit ramp when he lost control of the vehicle. It went off the ramp and overturned several times.

The accident killed 11-year-old Danzel Cosey, 10-year-old Lamont Davis and 3-year-old Eric Williams.

The patrol says the driver suffered moderate injuries and an 11-year-old boy was seriously injured.
