DEKALB, Ala. – Police in northern Alabama made a traffic stop and found 10 people in the vehicle who may be in the country illegally.
AL.Com reports the DeKalb County Criminal Interdiction Team called federal immigration authorities after stopping the vehicle on Wednesday. Police say it may have been a human smuggling operation. The people they detained were from El Salvador, Ecuador and Guatemala.
