JONESBORO, Ga. – Bold car thieves drove up to a Georgia daycare and were seen on video stealing two unattended cars that had been left running, including one with a 6-year-old boy inside.
The child was later found, and a 17-year-old suspect was arrested.
Surveillance videos filmed Tuesday and posted by The Atlanta Journal-Constitution show a car driving up to Childcare Network in Clayton County, an Atlanta suburb. It drops off two people who then creep into cars and drive away.
The 6-year-old was later seen on video walking back to the day care. He was reunited with his mother.
Clayton County police Sgt. Ashanti Marbury said the 17-year-old was arrested Wednesday. Police say a GPS device on a stolen 2016 Chrysler 300 led them to the teen at an Atlanta apartment complex.
